About Platypus

Style – a simple way of saying complicated things.

As owner and principle designer of Platypus Design, I work closely and directly with my clients in a collaborative manner, providing a highly-responsive service.

“My ‘job’ is to create effective visual communications for my clients. The fun part is becoming a magician, fireman and psychologist during the process.”   : )
Roly Platt

Community Involvement

Roly believes it is important to give back to the community and supports many local charity organizations including the The Royal Victoria Hospital, Maclaren Art Centre and Kempenfelt Rotary Club.

Background

Surprise, it’s actually music not design. For more than 30 years I’ve worked in the Canadian music scene as a live and studio harmonica player before focusing heavily on my love of design in the early 1990s.
